Description

Job Purpose: The project manager, working under the direction of a Director of Business Operations, is responsible for the successful execution of cross-functional projects — including participation in the conceptual development of a project, obtaining the scope of work for each project, defining business expectations, coordinating project timelines between multiple internal and external departments, and problem-solving. The project manager has direct communication with business partners and is an integral part of business development. The project manager supports projects of various sizes, complexity, and duration. Works with various teams to ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning, development, and operationalization of assigned programs. The successful candidate is an experienced project manager, comfortable working cross-functionally to develop and execute new opportunities with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitates business requirements based on business needs and gaps collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts
• Supports and enforces standards and methodologies around business process development, project management and change management
• Facilitates business process improvements through discussion, facilitation, process modeling, etc.
• Assists in defining business metrics to manage and improve processes
• Ensure buy-in by key stakeholders of recommended solutions
• Maintain written and oral communication/discussions with internal and external customers.
• Recognize, report, and recommend possible solutions to problems and challenges on a timely basis.
• Highlights process changes and provides input on potential impact to the organization and/or roles and participates in People Change Management deliverables
• Complete other assignments, as requested by management.

Strategy & Planning
• Work with business partners, and technical teams to define the scope of projects and create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.
• Design meeting structure and coordinate meeting events.
• Determine deadlines for key deliverables.
• Evaluate workflow processes and provide recommendations.

Project Implementation
• Creates deliverables such as project plans and test plans
• Prepare meeting materials, outlines, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other project information.
• Coordinate & schedule meetings, conference calls and events as needed.
• Collaborate with various business and IT teams to complete project onboarding activities.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
• Conduct project closure activities to include final reporting, lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and project documentation.
• Document risks issues; maintain, track, and monitor risk issues.
• Conduct critical path analysis as necessary.
• Identify any problems associated with the project and develop and implement the appropriate solution.
• Accountable for delivery against approved project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop and present analytics and reports to Senior Management.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Manage large projects of varying complexity.

 
Position Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.
• 5+ years related experience
• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery, of cross-functional, complex projects
• Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
• Responsive and alert to new learning opportunities, growth, and development of technical, interpersonal and business skills; able to recognize and address areas needing improvement.
• Motivated and competent to contribute appropriate time and effort to work needing attention.
• Teamwork, collaboration, planning, and organizing skills essential.
• Experience interacting with business customers at all levels of an organization and building collaborative relationships
• Embraces a customer service mindset
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and conceptually
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
